// Competitor Page Gap

Which pages does your competitor have that you don't?

We read both sitemaps and list the page types they publish that you don't. It's free and reads public sitemaps only.

A company that sells what you sell.

How it works

  1. Read sitemaps

    We read the sitemaps each site lists in its robots.txt, or its /sitemap.xml.

  2. Group folders with 5+ pages

    A folder with at least 5 pages counts as a page type, like /integrations/.

  3. Match against yours

    A type counts as a gap when you have nothing like it under a common name.

Fine print

We remove duplicate URLs and skip legal, login and tag pages. Their /news/ won't show as a gap if you have a /blog/, because we match common names for the same page type. A country or language folder counts as a copy of the page type after it, so /au/converter/ and /fr/converter/ are both /converter/.

The numbers are URL counts from each sitemap, so they say nothing about traffic. If one of your pages is live but missing from your sitemap, it shows here as a gap. That's worth fixing anyway, since search engines and AI crawlers use your sitemap to find your pages.

Very large sitemaps can be more than one request can read. When that happens the result tells you, and the counts read "at least".

When the words in the two sites' URLs suggest different businesses, you'll see a note instead of a gap.
