// Answerability Score
How quotable is your page to an AI?
Paste a page URL. We score it 0 to 100 on how easily an answer engine can lift a clean, standalone quote from it, and show you the exact sentences dragging the score down.
The rubric, in the open
No black box. The score starts at 100 and deducts against six signals that decide whether a sentence survives being pulled out of your page and dropped into an AI answer:
- Standalone sentences: does a sentence resolve without the one before it, or does it open with “it / this / they”?
- Sentence length: sentences over 34 words don't get quoted cleanly.
- Paragraph length: paragraphs over 120 words don't get chunked cleanly.
- Dated claims: figures without a date are riskier for an engine to cite.
- Heading → answer distance: retrieval rewards a heading followed immediately by its answer.
- Structure: lists and tables for content that's actually a list.
One rule sits outside the rubric. Below 120 words or 8 sentences of readable body text we return no score at all, because every deduction above is a rate and on a handful of sentences the number is noise. A page that thin has a content problem before it has a phrasing one, so saying that is more use than a score would be.
Disagree with a deduction? Good, that argument is the whole point. Nothing about your page is stored against it.
